Basic Facts

     

Today I was doing a basic facts test. The test I did was stage 5. Today  stage 5 was  a little bit hard but managed to solve the problem out. I did well on multiplication  and division also addition to 20 . And also I did well on 100s and 1000s. But the one didn't do well was Grouping with 100. So maybe next time I will try my hardest to focus on that strategie then I could Score 60/60 to accelerate my level.

Maths Week Game

Today I was playing a maths game but the maths game was called 
Maths Week. In this game it was very easy. All you have to do is to follow instructions to guide you how to play game. Then you need to answer 11 question after that by answering those question you won the game. To go on this game go to www.mathsweek.org.nz   Then click the link to play the game .

Basic Facts

Today I did in maths was  basic facts. The I was doing was stage 5. Stage 5 was a little confusing this time so tried really hard to get it right but the score was 51. I did well on multiplication and 100s and 1000s also addition and  division. So the one I didn't do well was grouping within 100s and subtraction. So maybe next time I will try to do the my  hardest so  I can to improve my maths  and learn my strategies in math. Then maybe next time I will try to score 60 out of 60 to reach stage 6.

WALT: Write a detailed narrative in 3rd person

A hot day at the beach

It was hot day at Steven house. So Steven had an idea that Steven and his family could go to the beach. Steven went to ask his mum. “ Mum can we go to the beach? “ asked Steven. His mum said  “ ,Sure we can go  to the beach but don’t forget to get your towel and your clothes”.

Steven and his mum entered the car. Their car has white shiny rims with  shiny windows. Then his mum started the car and went off. Finally ,they arrived at the beach. With fresh air passing through their hair they felt relaxed. Steven was excited to swim in the sea but first his mum needed to find a spot where they can sit under the tree for some shade. Dad went to get some ice cream from the ice cream truck. Steven’s dad came back from the ice cream truck.

He gave out the ice cream to the family. But then Steven’s little brother made a

mess so his father knelt down to wipe his face. After that Steven can go for a swim with his father. Steven felt very happy to enjoy his day at the beach.

Hockey lesson

Today we were learning how to play hockey. first we need to use equipment. The equipment was a hockey stick and a ball.

Second we were juggling the ball with a hockey stick to see who could juggle the ball for long time. Finally  we play actual hockey game. But before we need to learn hockey we need to learn the safety rules of hockey.

• Do not hold the hockey stick up in the air or else the other person will get hurt

• Bend your knees and hit the ball

• don’t hold the stick above knee

• Do not swing the hockey stick or play swords with it

• hold the hockey stick with the left arm

• Then hold the stick with your right arm on the colour part

    

• do not bend your back all else your back might get sore

I hope you learn how to play hockey.

Grandpa's Workshop

WALT:write personal narrative from a picture.

In the sunny morning my grandpa and I were on our way to his wood workshop.Grandpa had white hair and brown eyes.Grandpa love to do wood at his workshop . It was just 7:00 am My grandpa and I were heading to the workshop in his car. His car was blue with shining rims and has shining windows. It was so exciting that I am going to grandpa’s workshop. Grandpa’s workshop was in town so we have to travel along way  there.

It was 9:00 am my grandpa and I were nearly to town. But there was a stormy weather coming our way  so we had to find a hotel to sleep in for the day. I got really anxious. Then we met this man name John. John had brown hair and blues eyes. John was a manager for the hotel. We have to pay him $50 to sleep in the hotel. So we slept there for the day. The next my grandpa  and I was continuing going to his workshop. We were  nearly at his workshop it was finally happening but then there was a traffic so we waited for so long to get to his workshop. I was shocked so we have to wait for 2 hours until the traffic have to ended. It was frustrating.We were hungry, Thirsty and tried .But finally the traffic . So we continuously drive through the city we nearly  at his workshop. Then we stop at his workshop.

His workshop was light brown

with a sign says “grandpa’s woodshop” and with a  piece of wood on it.

So we still had time to build a birdhouse. So my grandpa and I were rushed to work. My grandpa was build the rooftops will I was do the side of the birdhouse. Next we need to do the floor. After that we need to add the front of the birdhouse with a big wide door so that the bird could fit inside the house.

Later we need to paint the birdhouse with lot of design on it. Finally it was finished so the only we need to do is to find the birdhouse a tree so the bird

could visited every time.  So we went outside  to search for a tree for the birdhouse. So we  looked everywhere even the park there was no tree. But then there was one tree so place it there for birds to visit and lived inside the birdhouse. I reckon that going to my Grandpa’s workshop was the best idea and holiday ever.

WALT: write a descriptive paragraph

One strange dream.

When I opened the door and I was really confronted  because my bedroom was full of water but there was a terrifying shark too.It was very interesting  I never had any room like that before.Then I opened the next door.

My  brother was gobbling all my clothes.I was very disappointed I feel like I just want to rip my ears off.But then I was think That it  start getting more stranger.

I opened the next  door again.My sister room was very dirty with dirty socks , dirty shoes even a dirty stinking  t-shirt.It was very horrible.I could never hardly breath in there.But my sister  would never ever leave her room dirty.She I always clean her room.

The last door I went in was my parents room .My parents room was normal but it has a problem. Their room  has  lot of spooky bats also there was a spooky monster. I was frightened also little bit fluid on the other side. I was about to scream and yelled but first I need it to stay calm so I did.

I felt very tired so I went to sleep.After that I woke up. I was in my room. First I check  my room. Luckily  It was back to normal.What a strange dream.
