Red poppy
Red poppy is a symbol of remembrance of the people who died during the wars. John Mccra Who had the Idea for using the red poppy as a remembrance of the soldiers. He was inspired by the red poppies . So he wrote the poem of the red flower .
A lady name Moina Michael was the first new zealander to make the poppy as a memorial symbol.
Also used since 1921 . NZ had there first poppy day on ANZAC day in 1922 .
